Morphological Characterization of Ecg Signal Abnormalities: a New Approach

چکیده

Examining the ECG signal carefully may lead to an accurate diagnosing for the heart abnormalities. Several techniques have been conducted in the area of arrhythmia detection using classical methods of classification. In the last two decades, there has been an increasing interest in applying techniques from the domains of nonlinear analysis and chaos theory in the characterization of the ECG signal. In this work, we propose a new characterization method based on the morphological analysis of the ECG signal. The data set used were taken from the world-famous MIT-BIH Arrhythmia database, as well as several other international ECG signal databases. Most of the heart abnormalities were detected using this novel method with a high degree of confidence.
